Here are some answers to questions we field on a regular basis. If you don’t find what you are looking for here, do not hesitate to contact us.

  • Radiologists with Palouse Imaging Consultants (PIC) are experts in interpreting the results of your medical imaging examinations. Your care provider has trusted PIC to provide these services and ensure that you receive the best possible care. Your bill from Palouse Imaging Consultants represents the professional (interpretive) component for your study. The technical (performance) portion of the examination will be billed separately by the facility where the examination was performed.

  • We appreciate your prompt payment as this allows us to keep our fees low. We can receive payments in person at our billing office, by mail, online, or by telephone. 

    For your convenience, we accept credit and debit card payments by Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Please use the payments section on our webpage for online service.

    We can take payment over the phone (208) 882-8369 or via mail addressed to P.O. Box 9583, Moscow, ID 83843. 

    If you are unable to pay your bill in full or in a timely manner, please call our billing office to explore other options.

  • Our billing office is located in 220 West 3rd St. Moscow, Idaho 83843. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. 

  • Doxo is a common 3rd party clearinghouse website that allows patients to pay multiple medical bills from numerous providers in one stop. However, Doxo charges many very expensive fees to use their services. 

    Palouse Imaging Consultants does not charge any fees to pay your bill through our website. We encourage all our patients to go directly to the payments section on our website to settle their bill and avoid any unnecessary charges.

  • Palouse Imaging Consultants is contracted with major insurers including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Regence Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, First Choice, Multiplan, Kaiser NW, Premera Blue Cross, and Asuris.

    If you have any questions regarding your specific insurance provider, do not hesitate to reach out.

  • Working in consult with your provider, PIC Radiologists ultimately determine the examination and sequences that are most beneficial for your specific diagnosis. For example, this may include using or not using contrast materials to enhance the visual aspect of the procedure or adding an anatomical area to aid the radiologist in their diagnosis. Our Radiologists follow national published guidelines and imaging protocols established by the American College of Radiology.

  • Occasionally, multiple studies are requested during the same visit. Some exams are billed not only by quipment type used, but also by body parts being scanned. For example, an order of a CT of the Chest, Abdomen, and Pelvis may results in three separate charges.

  • You may contact our billing office at (208) 882-8369 from Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM to receive help understanding your bill. A friend or family member may call us, but we require your authorization to freely talk about the care you received. Please call your insurance company at the phone number typically located on your insurance ID card if you have questions concerning your explanation of benefits.

  • We follow national and regional guidelines when setting our fees. Your insurance company may establish a fee they believe is “reasonable and customary”, however this may not accurately reflect charges in our area.Item description
